New York Comic Con

Hello!

New York isn't all that far off; so I've got very little time to try and get everything situated. Here goes:

We've had a printer beakdown here at Casa de Hughes. We currently only have 22 of the 100 Yuki Mori / Nova prints that we planned to bring to New York completed. We bought a new printer yesterday and it also didn't work (a faulty floor model was all they had left). So it went back today. This morning I mail ordered a new printer from Epson, begging them to get it here as fast as possible and paying for expedited shipping. It's SUPPOSED to be here tomorrow afternoon. If it shows up, and works, we'll print through the night to get the 100 prints completed. IF NOT: the Yuki More/ Nova print will be one-per-person. Lets hope it doesn't come to that. We'll also have the small Black Cat print with us that we debuted at the Baltimore Comic Con.

More news: I'm trying something a little new. We'll have a portfolio of original art for sale. You can see everything currently available, with prices, right here on the website. You can't buy things, or put things on hold. But at least it will allow you to plan. I'm super swamped with show prep, so I won't be able to answer questions about the artwork via email. Just come see us at the show about any of the pieces you might like to add to your collection.

We'll be in Artist's Alley, tables BB9 & BB10

Adam will be doing a signing in the DC signing area on Friday from 11:30 to 12:30, and signing for the convention at 12 noon on Sunday.

Adam will be doing head sketches at the table at the following times:

Friday 10am to 11am and 6pm to 7pm
Saturday 10am to 11 am and 6pm to 7 pm
Sunday 10am to 11am and 4pm to 5 pm.

There won't be any head sketching times set aside for Thursday. Head sketches will be $20 each, and we request that you keep it to one per person. If you want more than one sketch, you must get back in the line, or come at another sketching time of the line has been capped. 50% of the proceeds from this convention's head sketches will go to Old English Sheepdog Rescue.

Despite me best efforts, I was unable to get ourselves situated to take credit cards this weekend. So please come prepared with cash if you want to buy anything.

Lastly, Adam will have an original piece of artwork in the Charity Art Auction this weekend. All proceeds benefit the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. The art auction runs Saturday night from 8pm to 10pm. You can see previews of the artwork available, along with more information, here:

As soon as Adam finishes his piece I'll be sure and post it online.

I think that's about it; see you all in New York!
